Thanks folks!

I'm currently trying to clean up my sis' computer.
It was bad! I think when I scanned with Avast! it turned up like 15 different viri infecting over 75 different system and program files... programs that she used every day!

But, I followed the "5-steps" and cleaned up about 90% of it. Now I'm waiting for an expert to look at my scan logs.
