Red Faced Hi! I'm new ... and in big PC trouble!

Hi, I'm Samantha! I found you guys again -- I'd been here previously and when I got my new laptop of course I didn't take my bookmarks w/ me (now I FURL everything!) so I lost this forum. I don't even recall my former name but you can bet, if ANYONE remembers a real dufus, that was me!! Today I had a brainstorm and Googled you, so here I am! I learned so much when I used to visit previously, just by reading, reading, reading. Well, today I REALLY messed up and when I figure out where I'm supposed to post it I'll cry on someone's shoulder. Y'all won't believe it -- honest! I'm pretty upset, and have been for hours. I think I even said a couple of bad words PLUS I came very close to throwing my laptop out the front door!

I'm fixing to search to see where to post this horrible problem I have, but meanwhile I'm glad I got to say hi!

Re: Hi! I'm new ... and in big PC trouble!

Hello and welcome. If you have a laptop problem, I would start with your your problem in the Hardware>Laptop area. When you explalin the problem in the thread, they will move it if it is not appropriate for that area. Enjoy your time with us and stick around this time so you get the help when you need it.

PS: Oh, those bad words you mentioned are "No No's," so don't use them or throw the computer out the door.

Re: Hi! I'm new ... and in big PC trouble!

Thank you kindly for the welcomes! I FURLed you so I'm safe now, I'll not lose y'all again. Believe it or not, I even had one or two words of help when I was here previously. That's why this is so frustrating for me -- I'm not brand new in the world of computers. Sigh!

I did indeed post my problem and I must apologize in advance: I put it in the XP area. Maybe I'm not so smart after all huh?

Finally, it would be quite unladylike to use bad language here so not to worry! I'm very much a girly-girl, I love all things sparkly AND dislike bad words.

Hi Jen! I've found people friendly here -- that's why I searched until I located this forum again. You know, no one made me feel dumb even though I really think I am. But I LOVE your eyeballs! They're cute! LOL!

Re: Hi! I'm new ... and in big PC trouble!

Well guys, this thing has been off and on for days and days. I called Microsoft. It's an HP problem. I called HP. My warranty expired 2 days earlier, on Wednesday. $&#@*$ !!!!!!!! I called a friend of a very good friend who works on computers and he'll take a look at it, but it'll be $149 just to LOOK!!

I appreciate all the welcomes, it makes me somehow feel better! I'm not online a lot and I'm fixing to Rodeo again this weekend so I'll be gone a few days. Think it'll heal itself while I'm gone?? Nah, I didn't think so either. NOW it doesn't even know I'm the ADMINISTRATOR! I don't know what to do now ...
