Hey there, hi there, ho there...

Just thought I'd say "Hi".
I know very little about computers, although I'm fairly adept with certain programs. Sort of like the character "Oddball" in the movie "Kelly's Heroes", when asked why he wasn't helping fix his tank, and he replied, "Hey baby... I just drive it, I don't know what makes it go"
That's me.
Hey, is IMG code anything like UBB?

Nobody else seems to be tackling this so I'll have a go. As far as I know (and I'm sure someone will jump in if I'm wrong ) IMG is a single programming tag for images and is used in most web-based languages such as HTML and UBB Code and similar codes for bulletin boards and forums, etc. such as the VBulletin that this forum is written in. I'm no expert in these and someone else may explain it better.

That's OK, JohnthePilot, I figured it out. Well... I didn't so much figure it out as say to myself, "Self... let's give it a shot and see if it works. If it doesn't then no harm, no foul, but if it does, then Bob's your uncle".
Or words to that effect.
And I have another question.
Do you have to have a certin number of posts before you can upload an image for yourself? I looked around to see if I could find this info, but couldn't.
Neither can I upload an image.
I go through all the hoopla and hit the button and am told that the upload failed.
No big thing. Just curious.

Do you mean to include as an avatar under your name? If so, then yes, you have to be a staff member, have +500 posts or donate to the forum.

Well, see? There ya go then.
I have been enlightened.

(For more insights into the complete and utter hoplessness of Boo's knowledge of all things computer-like and technology based, please visit his thread in the Other Hardware Forum: Stupid Scrollbar!!!

Thank you!

And how did I phrase the title of that thread that caused it to be edited?
