Hello from HCP
Hi everyone,
I've been on here for quite a while now. I like web programming and researching on the Internet. I've just got a small question. I am getting myopia (short-sightedness), and sometimes I can't see what's written on the board at school very clearly. Are there any alternatives to glasses, contacts, surgery and OK lens? I've heard of sleeping with sandbags on your eyes. Thanks

Hi HCP,
I think the laser technology as dai mentioned is your best shot at having normal vision for many years to come. Might be worth checking into that one. Oh, also welcome to the forum, we are glad you are here.

Greetings HCP, Welcome to TSF!
![]() I agree with dai, as my brother had the laser treatment too, and his vision was nearly 20/20 after it! Anyway enjoy looking around the Forums.

I'm not really keen on laser treatment though as it is irreversible. Has anyone tried flattening their lens when sleeping?
When people get older, they usually get long-sightedness don't they? If I have short-sightedness now, will the two cancel each other out when I get older and I'll then have better vision?

Greetings and salutations. I've never heard of flattening your lens when sleeping. Let me know how you make out with it.
