Glad I found this forum. Luckily I'm having no problems at the moment, but that can change :(
I'm presently using a 3000 series Acer Aspire. Have added 256 of RAM, but other than that it's what I purchased a year ago. Had some problems with the fan, but other than that, it's been a good, cheap machine. I don't expect much performance-wise, basically just do spreadsheets, wordprocessing, browse the net. Not much room on the harddrive - only 20gig available and now I'm down to about 4 left. I'm contemplating buying another CHEAP machine the first of the year and giving this one to my son. I haven't been too thrilled with the response from ACER when it comes to support - their answer on the fan was, "You have to send it to us." I didn't and I know that voided what warranty I had left. Anyway, thanks for being here. |
