Cool Hi All

I found this site trying to resolve an issuse with a pc at work. I am glad I found it. At the moment I consider myself a hobbiest. I bought my first pc back in 1999. I am stuburn and cheap( or thrifty ), any way I have never taken any of my pc's to a "shop". I have always done the research to resolve issuse on my own. I like to refubish older pc's for those that can not aford new ones. I also like to help my friends and family keep thier pc's running in top form. I enjoy hand coding websites. I only know html, right now. I am learning about DHTML at the moment. I am looking at schools rihgt now. I want to get a masters in IT. I am thinking networking is the way I want to go. I am not sure yet though. Thier is some much I need to learn. My latest pet peev is malware issuses. My pc at work is a mess. My boss had it in storedge for 2 years, brought it to work and hooked it up to the internet (phone modem 56k) with out activating the nortons and left it that way for 4 months. It had norton 2004. That thing is such a mess. It has more malware than I have ever seen in one place. I have been pulling my hair out and going grey trying to fix it. Thanks to this fourm I have cleand it up a little bit, but it is still in sad shape. It is a shame, it is a good pc, a dell 4600. It has a ture pentium 4 2.8, and moves like an old celeron 500. I have gone on long enough. I am glad to be here thank you.

Hi Brain Stew,

Welcome to TSF, being "thrifty" and "doing your own research" are both good qualities, good luck with your studies!

Hello, Brain Stew, and welcome to TSF! You are also welcome to help wherever you think you can (except HJT Logs).

Since you are interested in learning how to fight malware, it might be worth considering to join TSF's Academy.
