Hey folks.

Overdue to the forums, I show up with a want to both aid and be helped.

I'm a computer junkie in general... The kind of guy who brings his laptop EVERYWHERE.

I run on a nice laptop given to me as a gift, and my own custom I built for games (over the years, the added cost is above $6,000... I'm not too happy about that).

I'm pretty well rounded when it comes to computers, and all my friends and family ask me to help them out when it comes to theirs.. But when it comes down to the nitty-gritty world of binary, head-on regestry edits and such, I'm pretty much clueless (although I will tinker around until I understand it).

I hope I can help yall as much as I know yall can help me, and wouldn't mind making some new friends (especially ones who aren't technologically challanged, as about 90% of my current friends are).

Scary as it sounds, you look like my current g/f's brothers. If you were from FL I would realy be scared they were stalking me.

I play mostly First Person Shooters, like Doom 3, Far Cry (Which I've finally gotten into), SWAT 4 and Half-Life. I also like RPGs, including my favourite MMO, Anarchy Online (been playing for about five years now).

And no, not from Florida :3 Born and raised Bostonian (right down to the accent).

So I take you are Irish then? If you are from Boston you have to be Irish.

I sadly still have not played Doom 3. I'm not the biggest fan fo first person shooters, but doom games have always held my interest.

So you like the future MMO's? I still haven't had one hold my interest for long except for Dark Ages of Camelot. Atleast until the released the Trials of Atlantis expansion. I'm at very much looking forward to their warhammer online MMO though. Sadly the future MMO's just haven't done it for me yet. I wish they woudl come out with one I could get it to.

I hear you about the futuristic MMOs.. So far, Anarchy Online has been the only one to hold my interest, even if sometimes it can cause me to pull my hair out.

Although the newist expansion to Anarchy Online may spark some interest in a few. Huge, mechanized warfare. Can't wait to get my own robotic suit, heh.

As for DOOM 3... You must get a copy. I always loved the Doom series, and 3 did not dissappoint. It's also the only game aside from Silent Hill to scare the crap out of me :3

Welcome to the forum EchoSex, I'm a fan of the first person shooters too. If you haven't already you should have a go at Quake 4, it's pretty amazing and better than Doom 3 IMHO.

There's no shortage of expertise here so you've just made somewhere near 100,000 new friends who have some degree of technological know-how.

Have you heard about the rumors about the StarGate MMO? Not sure how futuristic it will be, but it sounds neat.
