This forum has a "i consider" an unfair rule" that one cannot use a personal Avatar until he or she donates or post upteen times. As a result of this dumb rule i see a box with a red x.

Well i don't know how to came to this conclusion. I visit five computer forums every day and this is the only one with this rule.

PCQ and A.com
techguy.org
pcpitstop.invisionzone.com
bleepingcompuer.com

I'm afraid those are the rules for this forum. You are correct that some other forums allow avatars as soon as you join, but that's up to them. For TSF it's donate, make 500 posts or show your worth and be invited to join one of the Forum Teams.

Hope you can do the last one.

Grin

I was searching for a way to upload my own avatar....

Ok, I think it's fair, every forum has it's own rules, and it's their right.

This is only my seventh post since I joined yesterday, so I'll go mingle now

Thanks for your consideration, we try and run a tight and professional ship here at TSF and concentrate on the important things like helping people with their computer problems.

I hope you're enjoying it here so far.

Thumbs Up

I sure am.

IT is one of my hobbies, not that I'm exceptionally good at it, but I love it when troubleshooting gets the right results.
