[SOLVED] problems with GPU client 6.23

Currently my F@H 6.23 folds but at 1/3 the speed and amount of my old client 6.21
My old client with my GTX 260 did 2,800 iterations/sec
this one does 1,200 iterations

I've done multiple reinstallations

I've manually put the file cudart.dll in with GPU F@H folder
I've manually put the file FaHcore_11 in with the folder

I've tried all the installations for 6.23 except the console version (i just didn't wait to see how fast they went and will give a shoutout to those speeds

I want my fast F@H client back

since I'm still talking to myself I did download and use the cuda driver which was most likely the folding@home problem

I'm listening...

But, I was not able to use the GPU client - I'm still using the SMP client, so I can't really help - sorry.

Re: problems with GPU client 6.23

I thought the CUDA driver was necessary for the GPU2 client.

I haven't had to do much troubleshooting with the GPU2 client (and I'm still running 6.20) so, like Glas, I don't have much insight for you either. I will say that some of the new WUs do run much slower than the older WUs.

I spoke too soon. Mine is having issues as well. Several EUEs happening all of the sudden. It could be issues with these new WUs.

ok so I had a problem again with F@H 6.20 but I deleted the work folder like you said Mattlock and now it folds this fast - about 3300 iterations per second or a 480 point project takes about 2 hours

Re: problems with GPU client 6.23

Because 6.20 only uses one core and you can't have two instances of the GPU client I'm using the console client on the other core. When I first start, the console client starts fine but the GPU client has a potential conflict and closes down. When I restart it it works fine. Just not as quick as 6.23.
