[SOLVED] Is Folding working properly??

I finally got the idea of distributed computing and this whole folding program seems to be flustering me. I tried it about two weeks ago and supposedly joined the TSF team. Today, I finally was able to get somewhere with the program and now it's saying when I hover the taskbar icon: "Working 0/2500". It's now been about 10 minutes and it's stayed that way since. I have it set to use either of my two cores, and the CPU level is near 75% (i think). Plus, their stats site hasn't seemed to work (for me) for the two weeks either.

Here are my specs:

Re: Is Folding working properly??

Okay, I lied, after about 15 minutes or so, I hovered it again and now it shows it completed 50/2500! I guess it goes by 50's then?

Re: Is Folding working properly??

Hi Skyhintack. Welcome to the team.
I've never really noticed what it increments in but 50 would seem a reasonable figure for a 2,500 frame WU. (I'm currently running a 10,000 frame WU and that increments in 100 frames.) That still doesn't seem a lot for two weeks. How long is your machine on for?

You might also want to consider running the SMP client or the GPU Beta - there are threads on both here.

Glad to have you on board.

Re: Is Folding working properly??

Well, it depends on what my computer might do while i'm sleeping overnight if it's on or not. If I leave F@H running, then i'll keep it on. I'll keep it on too if I know it'll be running some scheduled scans. Right now, I'm not about to keep my newly build pc on for loger than a couple days because it's a bit hotter than I want, so until I revisit Newegg and purchase my wishlist, I'll say two days.

I'm going to try that other client that Glaswegian suggested, and I'll post back later when I see how it goes.

Thanks TSF DISTRO.COMP. People!
