[SOLVED] F@H not connecting to get a WU...

ok, to start i finally just got F@H to be good at running, and finished a work unit. That got sent in without a problem, and i got the credit for it too. Now for over 24 hours I have not been abe to get a new WU. I even went back to dial up at times just ecause i know it is slower but i never have a lot of problems with it. I leave F@H open all night in hopes it starts to download. Anyway, i disabled all firewalls that i know that are on this computer and also make sure that F@H is allowed anyway. I have restarted windows, F@H, tried just running F@H, i have user account control turned off (hated needing to say i wanted to run a program i clicked on). I also checked F@H sever status and that was fine i think, its tryin to connect to 171.64.122.133 . Im not sure what to do about this and im not sure i want to reinstalle it at the moment.

Also.... i have speedFan 4.33 which does act strange, like doesnt always find all the sensors. It doesnt find any fans and it finally found my HD and it has three tempuratures. When i first started to use it, it only found one temp. and that was it.
The Three now are Core (also the first thing it ever found), HD0, and Temp1. Currently, while in a game, the temps are
Core: 53C
HD0: 39C
Temp1 63C
i have no idea what this temp1 is and it is scaring me sine it does get up to about 70 degrees, and im in a cold room. My bedroom is the coldest in the house and i cant stand to be in here unless im covered. I run it ontop of a deck of cards to give more space between the desk and bottom of laptop to hopefully keep it cooler, i dont have the battery in right now. If anyone has an idea what this temp1 can be please tell me and also how can i bring the temp of this down? (i felt ok at first since the Core never gets about 60 really but now there is this new temp that is higher and i dont want anything to go bad.

Re: F@H not connecting to get a WU...

If running the Graphical Client right cllick on the tray icon and go to configure, connection, and make sure "Use Internet Explorer settings" is not checked. You may also need to locate FAH.exe right click it and "Run as Admin".

If this doesn't work, attach you log file to your next post.

Re: F@H not connecting to get a WU...

ok, well i do not have "Use Internet Explorer settings" for some reason, maybe because it is the Beta verison?
But randomly i just checked and it started to work. and i do mean as i was just going to type this, so i guess F@H got scared and started to work.
Thank you for your help anyway.
