Re: Post Your Folding@Home Rig Details

John my friend I am as frustrated with your problem as you, I tried everthing I know on it and still no good, just wanted to let you know that I am following along just in case I see something that gives me another idea.

I wish I had that machine in my shop, I would swap parts in it till it worked, I am thinking that its some obscure setting in bios related to memory or some fault with the motherboard

That's all I can think. It's got to be something very simple and very minor. Presently on 1080/4000 so it's still slogging on.

Ha ha, so true! I blame Intel 'cause the Intel rigs I have running F@H like to crash on me. It's obvious that the Influence of Intel's <opinion>shoddy</opinion> parts has extended so far as to affect John's AMD setup.

Re: Post Your Folding@Home Rig Details

It can't download the new WU then. Sometimes this does happen although I wouldn't think it would last 3 days. Is your internet connection fine otherwise?

Running one rig right now:

A64 x2 DC 5000+
4GB DDR2-800

Running 24/7

I am going to try VMWare/Ubuntu-64 and see if it is any faster.

Oh, no!!!. Instability at 870/1500 after three days if running 24/7. All sensors report everything OK.
@eb, what does the log show for my ghost rig? So far no WUs seem to have been completed.
