Re: Poor response to Folding @ Home

It seems to be , but can't see why not start a post on your particular problem if you have one

Re: Poor response to Folding @ Home

I'd already posted in the Poll thread, which is where problems were being discussed, but it seems to have shifted here. No point in starting a new thread, as most of our problems are common.

Re: Poor response to Folding @ Home

Grumpygit, check your firewall to see if it's blocking Folding@Home.

Are you running any HOSTS-type programs or IP Blockers like PeerGuardian? (F@H IP range 171.64.122.87 to 171.64.122.144)

Re: Poor response to Folding @ Home

Check the HOSTS list for the IP range, or temporarily disable ie-spyad and mvps host while starting F@H to see if this allows it to connect.

Re: Poor response to Folding @ Home

Its connecting ok but it wont go past, Waiting for core:
(uninstalled iespyad and mvps, just in case)

It keeps attempting to get work package but fails.

I'll leave it running overnight and see what happens.

Re: Poor response to Folding @ Home

If you downloaded the beta zersion, it came in a zip file when i downloaded and that was not that long ago. I was being lazy and just ran the one file that was in there without extracting it and when it ran i had the problem you are saying. All i had to do was extract it and then run it and it works without a problem.
