Re: Folding@Home Discussion Thread

dunpar, which F@H client are you using?

You can use any of these below (direct links to zips), with the SMP client being the fastest and giving the most points per WU.

Windows 2000/XP/Vista Graphical client 6.01 beta2
Windows NT/2000/XP/Vista text-only console 6.01 beta4
Windows 2000/XP/Vista SMP client 5.91 beta6

Re: Folding@Home Discussion Thread

It's probably a 1500 frame WU, not 1500 points.

Re: Folding@Home Discussion Thread

Work Units are divided into frames. From the user's point of view this doesn't mean much, except to give you an idea of how much of the WU has been completed. It probably has more significance to the scientists at Stanford who work with the completed data.

Points are to show how many units have been completed, just for friendly competition.

@dunpar.
Link below shows how points are allocated to WU.

Right click the F@H Icon in your system tray and click Logfile under status. This logfile will contain all info from start to finish of your WU.

Oh, and Congrats on finishing another WU! Also if you download FahMon, it will show you the progress of your current WU, the poits you will receive, etc. You can find the download for your OS here: http://fahmon.net/download.html

Do you know if that can be made to display stats on the G11 and G15 keyboards?

Re: Folding@Home Discussion Thread

Not sure, those are the keyboards w/ the small lcd displays right? There should be a way to do that. If I get a chance I'll ask on the folding forum.

Re: Folding@Home Discussion Thread

Yup, they have the LCD panels that can give all sorts of info. I ask because I've yet to find one.
