Re: Current Teams

TSF is at 487. =)

We've been steadily building up over the last week but we seem to have had a big drop off in production yesterday.

Re: Current Teams

I think folks have got large WU's come down - I've had several WU's of 2500 'harder-parts' that seem to take a lot longer to process.

Possibly. I was getting some easy 20000 frame WU's, then yesterday I got hit with another one of those massive 80000 frame WU's.

Re: Current Teams

You need to download F@Hmon from here.

Then it is run as a separate application. It doesn't need to be running all the time - only when you want to view it.

You can also set F@Hmon to display the worklog if you want more information on what it is doing.

Re: Current Teams

Do you have F@H Running?
Have a look in the C:\Folding@Home folder and see if there is a 'work' folder there.

I should probably start folding again. Haven't had much of a chance to run it lately...

Re: Current Teams

no 'work' folder found, F@H is running, it's installed to:

C:\Program Files\Folding@Home\Folding@Home-x86

in that directory there are two folders:

data_ati
data_nv

i am assuming that's data for the GPUs ATI Radeon and nVidia?

i have edited the F@Hmon client to browse to both those folders and it still sits blank.

i think i may just have to have my PS3 do the folding for me >.< , do not worry i am linked as TSF_NoRiN on the PS3 and linked to the TSF Team :D only downside is that i won't be scoring as many points as i should / could be due to the fact i'm folding on the PS3. but i'm folding!

would still love to get this working tho. any other thoughts? or should i start a new thread so i don't hi-jack this one with my F@Hmon help?

Re: Current Teams

hmm. still no luck. i have FahMon and Folding @ Home running at the same time, and have tried them seperately, the Folding@home works fine the Fahmon i'm still having issues with getting projects or something.

i have navigated as mattlock said to the application data which i'll show below the exact path, but still have nothing going on in the main window. any other possibilities?

Quote:
C:\Documents and Settings\- USER NAME -\Application Data\Folding@home-x86\work
although on a plus note my PS3 has cranked out it's 3rd WU and is more than 1/2 way thru the 4th :D just in a matter of a day or so.

Re: Current Teams

Is the F@H client on your PC working? I mean is it currently Folding a work unit? If not then there is nothing for F@Hmon to report.

Also, I don't think you need to point it to the "work" folder, just to the Folding@Home-x86 folder.

C:\Documents and Settings\- USER NAME -\Application Data\Folding@home-x86\

BTW, your PS3 should be good for about 1000 ppd (points per day) if folding full time.

If you right click on it and click display, it will show what is happening visually.
I'm hoping you are using the GPU client with your machine...

Re: Current Teams

Thanks for joining in

Just make sure you get permission to run it on the work's computers. F@H can use alot of resources and could cause things to slow down. Let us know if you need any help choosing the right client or configuring the program to reduce CPU priority.

Re: Current Teams

Welcome to Team TSF Thomas and thank you for your contribution.

As for a role at TSF, just jump in and help out with any thread you can. If you are helpful, active, and give good solid advice your work will be noticed and you will eventually be recruited to one of the support teams. Once you have been asked to join one of the teams you can earn promotions by continuing to be helpful to others.

The line of progression for staff members is:
Team Member
Mentor
Moderator
Asst Manager
