Re: Current Teams
I have a question about Kakaostats. While viewing the team statistics http://kakaostats.com/t.php?t=85015 i noticed there is a scroll over stat while the mouse is over the 7 day total, and the entire total. It is a percentage, with mattlock having over 300%.
Does anyone know what it is actually referring to?

Re: Current Teams
Hi guys,
I've got a linux issue I updated the SMP client as stated somewhere on TSF (there are a few threads, I get confused easily) which said just download the file from the folding website, extract it, then copy the 2 files to the folding directory. I did all that, but now when I try to start it, the console says "Starting for FAH client(s): FAILURE" It also states that it's version 5.9? Where did I go wrong?

Re: Current Teams
Version 5.9 is for Windows Jack. You need to get the Linux SMP Client v6.00 Beta2 Extract, then drag and drop to the root folder for folding at home.
See what files were in the other file you downloaded and post that info here. You might need to delete those files.

Re: Current Teams
Thanks for the reply Matt.
That is what I download (It was a .tgz? file [the extension was similar to that]). When I extracted it, there were only 2 files in it. Attention SMP Users! Beta Expired, New Client Released Those are the files, the ones you mention in your post.

Re: Current Teams
OK Jack, start a new thread in DC after reading. Please Read Before Posting Folding@Home Problems. and are you running Linux natively or on VMware?
BTW, it shows as Version 5.9 on my Linux SMP client as well. Last edited by mattlock; 02-13-2008 at 10:42 AM. |

Re: Current Teams
I'm running it on VMware, yeah.
I think I figured it out. There was another folder within my folding folder called CPU1. I had to copy the news files into that as well. I just did and it seems to be working Thanks for the help Matt.

Re: Current Teams
That's odd, I didn't have to put it in the CPU1 folder on any of the 3 VMware setups I have running as there are shortcuts in the CPU1 folder to the FAH6 and MPIEXEC files. Anyway, I'm glad you got it sorted out.
Happy folding
