This thread was actually just for "Current Teams" then it turned into the "Stat Thread" and eventually got high jacked for many different topics.

Hopefully the new Stats Thread will not go down the same road and will remain the Official Stat thread.

Re: Current Teams

Oddball that's some impressive output for only one SMP. What are you running the single core clients on? Are you running the Windows SMP?

Re: Current Teams

@ Oddball: I am also wondering, are you running your SMP on your Core 2 Duo rig listed in your My System?

Re: Current Teams

Yes, i'm running my SMP client on my Core 2 Duo *not yet overclocked, i gotta get on that* No, i have the Ubuntu (linux) setup which you suggested to me. The single core clients are running on two dell dim 4600's. Both pentium 4, one 2.66 ghz, the other 2.99 ghz. Both could use some major 'tuning up' though, just haven't had the time to get around to it.

Nevertheless, it's the SMP client that does quite literally 95% of the work. (i watch it update because i wanted to see how much each does...)

Re: Current Teams

Ok. You're on average with my AMDs. You've done 4 SMP WUs in the last 7 days on one SMP client. I'm turning 8-9 SMP WUs a week on 2 SMP clients.

You can checkout your detailed stats on Kakaostats.
http://kakaostats.com/usum.php?u=1153450

BTW, the least amount of points I've seen from a SMP WU is 1385, it's usually 1760 per WU.

Re: Current Teams

Well, if i can keep up (according to kakostats) a WU on my SMP client every 27 hours, i can average almost 7 SMP wu's/week. So, slow down so i can catch up

Re: Current Teams

I am doing my first SMP WU right now on my Core 2 Duo. I was surprised at how much RAM the large memory WUs take up. Fortunately I will be upgrading to 2GB with some holiday money.

Just curious Oddball, what CPU cooler do you have right now?

Re: Current Teams

i used the windows SMP client for a day, but it would never use more than 20-30% of my CPU? and the console client uses more than that, so i figured i'd just switch over to using linux version.

Re: Current Teams

Did you change the CPU priority by accident? The default is 100% but you can adjust even the SMP client to only use 50% (one CPU).

Re: Current Teams

naaw, i know when i set it up, it was high priority and 100% cpu, but oh well no worries now.

I'm not entirely sure if it's related, but since i downloaded VMware and ubuntu, when i turn on my system and log in, it freezes up for approximately 2 minutes. (i've checked msconfig, and nothing has changed there.)

I'm not worried about it and i'll figure it out sooner or later, just wondering if someone had a quick suggestion about it.

Got me Oddball. VMware shouldn't affect your real machine at startup, since it doesn't autostart.

You are folding much faster than me. I'm turning one about every 36 hrs.
I might have just found a reason to build a C2D.

Matt, my Linux setup uses about 430mb total while folding.

Re: Current Teams

Hmm.. time to overclock this and see if i can gain some ground on you and hope you decide better than to build a C2D.

Do you have two SMP clients running on the same computer?

@TheMatt, my cpu cooler is just the stock fan, but i've watched my temps and they never spike over 48 C, although i'll see how they do once i overclock it a bit.
