Then under the "user tab" enter a user name and under "team number" enter "85015"

You must click "OK" to save these settings

I have not completed any WU's yet so I have not sent info to the folding@home server, but I have recieved WU's so I assume other than joining the team nothing else is necassary.

NOTE: If you don't enetr a user name or team you will still process WU's but it will be anonymously with no credit to the team or a user for that matter
Cheers Doby for the reply, I had the username and team number in form the start.

If you followed these instructions you should get credit and so should TSF.

You have to complete a WU and wait till the site updates till you see the results.

Keep us posted on this and we will try and make sure you and team TSF get the proper credit, please review post #44 and let us know
My apologies I missed your first post. Sorry. How can I tell when I have complete a WU?

Cheers.

Midnight great to hear from you! Some of the WU's are large and can take a week or even more depending on your system and how long you leave it on.

Down on the task bar, hover your mouse over the program and tell me what you see.

Should be something like 450/1500 or 100/5000

The first number is what is complete the second is what the total WU is, so if you only have, lets say 2500/5000 then your only half complete so its going to be a couple more days depending on how long you leave your computer run

Just be careful that it completes within the allocated time and does not expire.

There's something wrong somewhere Brian. I haven't finished any units yet, never mind 362.

I couldn't go to sleep so I logged in while downloading my gfs latest home made song - the tune for my ears

I used to run many of these distributed supercomputing networking apps off BOINC an UD software distributed clients and stuff like Einstein@Home SETI@Home Folding@Home and so on when I had 2 spare pcs, cus my parents and all family are in the science field and they run them and my uncle is one of the lead developers and researchers in this field especially medicine/genetics an also one who sends me free pcs ya know.

Tbh the whole purpose is to make use of your extra cpu cycles for something that'll take hundreds of years for one supercomputer to do otherwise an by increasing computational power ie. working together, you can speed up the probabilities of discoverin anything useful quickly and provide relevant data feedback that the expert can decode into useful material; the more the better. I can get technical detailed if you want, just ask me and I'll brush up my grammar and write in some formal oxford prose.. wait, lemme change into a more suitable uniform first though.
Most of the users runnin them get massive bundles of server farms running 24/7 at 100% for years on this and ye very hot n loud. Your power pul will be maxxed out on cpu tho, you need good coolin and max load temps, an if you oc or are weak on any component its best to check everythin out for stable operation before running any of this and also keep it running 30%-50% cpu usage or only what is idling rather than anythin more. People should be told this so they dont end up damaging or gettin angry because they were not warned sufficiently when something goes wrong, as it aint for the non geek-stuff savvy. I've seen this reaction too many times online around.

I wanted to run the cancer one this time tho. I'll check fah one out again on 2 spare commies I have but need to build em back again cos they're in spare parts now an all over the shore.

maybe, although i'm more apt to get the console version. but i found the error log, and it was getting a data server assignment from the main f@h server, but when it then went to the data server, there was no response.

Re: Which program do you most want us to team up in?

It probably terminated the work early or there was an error. It has started another work order.
Go to where you installed the client and open up the log and see what happened

Re: Which program do you most want us to team up in?

I had one work unit terminate early for unknown reasons, I have this running on 5 different machines with various operating systems to see what works and what problems there are, other than that one terminating early no problems at all.

I did make one mistake though, I entered the wrong team number (off by one digit) and gave credit to another team so if you see that in my profile it was a mistake.
