Java Help Needed
Please help,
Here is what I have so far. I had to create a bean with the system date used, but I cannot get the month changed from integer of month to actually showing the month as spelled out in a string. Can someone please help? package jbeans1; import java.awt.Color; import java.awt.Font; import java.util.Calendar; import java.util.GregorianCalendar; import javax.swing.*; import com.borland.jbcl.layout.XYConstraints; import com.borland.jbcl.layout.XYLayout; /** *
Title: Java Beans
* *
Description: Java Beans
* *
Copyright: Copyright (c) 2005
* *
Company: Old Dominion University
* * @author Lori Hoffman * @version 1.0 */ public class Date extends JPanel { XYLayout xYLayout1 = new XYLayout(); JPanel jPanel1 = new JPanel(); XYLayout xYLayout2 = new XYLayout(); JPanel jPanel2 = new JPanel(); XYLayout xYLayout3 = new XYLayout(); JPanel jPanel3 = new JPanel(); XYLayout xYLayout4 = new XYLayout(); JTextField month = new JTextField(); JTextField day = new JTextField(); JTextField year = new JTextField(); GregorianCalendar calendarObject = new GregorianCalendar(); private String author = "Hoffman"; public Date() { try { jbInit(); } catch (Exception exception) { exception.printStackTrace(); } } private void jbInit() throws Exception { day.setFont(new java.awt.Font("Arial", Font.BOLD, 14)); day.setBorder(BorderFactory.createLoweredBevelBorder()); day.setText("" + calendarObject.get(Calendar.DAY_OF_MONTH)); day.setHorizontalAlignment(SwingConstants.CENTER); year.setFont(new java.awt.Font("Arial", Font.BOLD, 14)); year.setBorder(BorderFactory.createLoweredBevelBorder()); year.setText("" + calendarObject.get(Calendar.YEAR)); year.setHorizontalAlignment(SwingConstants.CENTER); month.setBorder(BorderFactory.createLoweredBevelBorder()); month.setHorizontalAlignment(SwingConstants.CENTER); month.setFont(new java.awt.Font("Arial", Font.BOLD, 14)); month.setText("" + calendarObject.get(Calendar.MONTH[monthIndex-1])); setLayout(xYLayout1); jPanel1.setLayout(xYLayout2); jPanel2.setLayout(xYLayout3); jPanel2.setBackground(Color.lightGray); jPanel2.setBorder(BorderFactory.createRaisedBevelBorder()); jPanel3.setLayout(xYLayout4); jPanel3.setBackground(Color.blue); jPanel3.setBorder(BorderFactory.createRaisedBevelBorder()); this.add(jPanel1, new XYConstraints( -1, 0, 402, 300)); jPanel1.add(jPanel2, new XYConstraints(16, 152, 370, 135)); jPanel2.add(jPanel3, new XYConstraints(11, 16, 343, 101)); jPanel3.add(year, new XYConstraints(242, 28, 86, 34)); jPanel3.add(day, new XYConstraints(159, 28, 65, 34)); jPanel3.add(month, new XYConstraints(8, 28, 132, 34)); } public void setAuthor(String author) { this.author = author; } public String getAuthor() { return author; } } Thanks!!!! |
