Visual Basic?

I was just wondering...I've got a class coming up for school, it's for programming with Visual Basic. My text book says Visual Basic.net on it...is that a different program from Visual Basic 2005?

I got a copy of VB 2005 from a friend, and it seems the same, albeit newer than what the book uses, but I do want VB.net. Problem is, I can't find anywhere online to even get a "trial" version of the software.

Software

If you go to newegg.com, they have what you are looking for.

Visual Studio .NET 2003 has C++, C#, J# (I think) and Basic all combined within it. However, it is almost $500. But if you are a current student, they do have a discounted one for $90 (exact same as $500, just have to prove that you are a student)

If those are not what you want (maybe too much bang for your buck...) they also have Visual Basic .NET 2003 for a little under $100.

Go on and check them out... I just typed in "Visual .NET" to the search and up they came.

Good luck.

Visual Studio 2005 is still in beta, at least I think it has not yet been released. ricer333 is correct, Visual Studio .NET has all the languages included, though you don't have to install them all when you install it.

Umm... Student Discounts Would Be What I Recommend, All Else Is Most Likely Illegal Software, But Try At College Book Stores, They Have Been Know To Have Discounted Software...
