vb.net for payroll software
I am starting a payroll software with vb.net as front end and ms access as database. Here client will create new database fields for different allowences and deductions during runtime based on his requirements. Pls tell me how to create fields/tables during runtime. Again the client will customise various reports like salary sheet using his own fields with different allowences and deductions . So pls tell me how to create a generalised crystal reports with various fields.

Re: vb.net for payroll software
Hey, google "vb.net database tutorial" and you'll find the information you need (there's no point me repeating it here because you wont learn as much from my interpretation)... I'd also suggest going in any direction other than MS Access, MS Access is terrible software and should be abolished. Try and set up MySQL/similar rather than using Access...
My main reasons for trying to steer you away from access is that i've seen too many applications become absolutely useless after a certain data limit. And because Access regularly teaches to not normalise databases. |
