Learn How to Program

I was wondering if there are any free things in how to program. I would like to learn how but don't know where to start. I don't care what language it is in, just basic stuff.

Re: Learn How to Program

Also you could try Java programming: http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/
Or something simple and script-like: http://www.autohotkey.com/
Or server-side programming to back up the HTML you've learned (Check W3Schools, under server-side)

There are loads of languages, i'd suggest C++ or Java though.
