how to take input from camera by opencv1.2 and gc++ on linux oel5.2?

how to install opencv 1.2 on oel 5.2?i am using accer travalemate 4720.how can i do that with my camera support?what short of extra library should i install?i am already have oracle db 11gr1 6.0.i want that those mentioned package should not conflict so that my oracle db can work properly.

so i have downloaded all the required library in my machine.but how can i compile opencv on OEL5 as its not available as rpm?will it affect my oracle db?and how will i get the camera support for my programs?any link/pdf is appreciated.........
