Python - Help Needed with Music Analysis
Hi, I'm new to Python, although I have some Java experience. I'm working on a game in Python for a project, and I'm trying to take a WAV sound file, preferably a 3-5 minute long song, and get the frequency of the music in Hz at a given time (or at least store frequency information in a list or array) so I can use it to trigger events in the game. I've figured out how to extract sample data, and I've looked into FFT stuff, but the FFT data for the frequency doesn't correlate with the time that the frequency appears in the music when I've tried using NumPy's FFT function.
At this point, I'm running out of time. Any help at all would be appreciated. |
