Windows Postscript output on MAC AI CS3
Hi all
I have written a large meteorological program in Borland C++ under WindowsXP which is able to export postscript files (weathermaps). In these files I use certain fonts which are installed on a windows system under c:\windows\fonts. I have installed the same fonts on a MAC and tried to open my postscript output with Adobe Illustator CS3 on that MAC. Every time I'm doing this it doesn't recognize my fonts and it says that it is using searching for a similar font. For example the "Switzerland Condensed Bold" font. After loading the postscript file with AI CS3 I can see in the font combobox that my own font was added but under a different name (SwitzerlandCondensed,Bold*). The installed font is there as well (Switzerland Condensed) but my font is messed up. Somehow I have the feeling that's it's just a problem in the name of the font. I tried nearly everything but now I'm out of sollutions now. How can I get it working that AI CS3 isn't always complaining about missing fonts? Any idea's?? BTW, if I'm asking this in the wrong groep I apologize, but because I'm a programmer I thought this should be the right one :) Cheers Kars |
