Is there a way to Inventory computers on a network by email?

Im looking for a way/program (or a way to write a program) that can be used to inventory computers on a network and send back BIOS information by email, WITHOUT DOWNLOADING A PROGRAM ONTO THE USER'S COMPUTER. Excluding the use of remote access unless it is necessary. If there is anyway other than paying for these programs, please let me know. Thanks.

I am not sure what you are looking for out of the BIOS. This program will give you the bios version.

Check out spiceworks.. works great, no remote access needed.
