how to set up multiple programs/mysql databases on one machine
I downloaded wamp onto my windows xp pro machine and downloaded drupal and zendframework too.
However, when I fired up wamp i could not connect to the mysql db because i had an older mysql db on the machine. is there a way to set up multiple mysql dbs on one machine? the manual says you can but i cannot find details on google how to do this: http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.1/...s-servers.html maybe i haven't looked long enough. Thanks in advance for your help! regards, matua105 |

Re: how to set up multiple programs/mysql databases on one machine
Yes, you use the same database name as your first database and ad a trailer to it such as 2. Example. I have wordpress and want to add Joomla. Your database would look something like username_wordpress_2. When you go to install your database you justy add the new name. It should use the same password.
Good luck. |

Re: how to set up multiple programs/mysql databases on one machine
Thanks!
I have set up wamp, and within it, drupal and zend framework, with their own subdirectories. It seems to work ok. Regards, matua105 |
