Does anyone come here for Programming anymore

Sorry, just had to start this thread for some of the older people to vent!

Geeze, I remember this place being a real good place to ping ideas off of regarding some real coding (C, C++, Java). Now all I see is homework questions or script kiddies looking for help in programming the next super-virus!

So sad! Is this what programming has come to?

Re: Does anyone come here for Programming anymore

Haha, trust me i was ranting about this myself the other day. The amount of homework requests here are stupid. Nowadays the only threads i answer are the ones that ask a clear question, usually two kinds:

1) How do i get started with *insert language name here*?
2) I can't debug my own code can you help me? (to abbreviate).

Other than that it's really just "Do my homework for me, i need this degree but don't want to study" or "Write me this program for free" or "How to hack" where some skiddy thinks he's going to teach you how to hack by creating a website that continuously pops up alert messages.

I feel your pain ricer.

Jamey
