Is this for school homework or do you have a specific problem you need help with?

Attempt the work yourself and come back with specific questions. If we can answer the specific questions, we will. For the first, does your class provide access to a Linux machine or a good Linux reference?

We're not here to do your homework for you. The answers to your first question can be easily obtained by going to www.google.com/linux. As far as your second question, we're not going to write the code for you. We'll help you if you're stuck with a particular issue with your code, but we're not here to just hand you an A. You need to do the work yourself and we'll help you get over those bumps in the road that you can't manage on your own.
