What is my Job title?
Hi everyone, I moved into my current job after finishing university doing a Computer Science BSc. I chose the job because of the wide spectrum of tasks I would be involved in so that I could better get an understanding of what direction I would like my IT career to go in.
My contract says I am a Software Developer, but I do very little coding. The roles I do are …. Communicating with the customer and scoping out the requirements, passing these to a developer, testing the code the developers produces, reporting back to the developer, deploying the app at customer sites, taking feedback from the customer, re-scoping any changes the customer would like and doing presentations to potential customers to demonstrate out software (not sales though). What I am wondering is …. What is my current job title? What areas/jobs can my career progress in to make use of the experience I have gained already? I’m also very interesting in becoming a c# developer but I don’t have and commercial experience from my current employment. What would people suggest I do so that I can move into more of a Developer role? |
