question on compTIA A+

I'm going into my junior year of high school and next semester I'm taking a Computer Service Technology I and II and if i pass the Essentials exam and either the 220-602, 220-603, or 220-604 exam. which one of those are the easiest? Since I'll be only 17, how much would I be getting paid if I were to work at a computer shop? (geek squad, small computer repair shops, etc..)

Also getting 18 hours of college credit

I'd like to know this as well. I got certified around my 17th birthday, and have been for about six months.

I misunderstood your question. They're all essentially the same, but it looks like 220-602 is the easiest (I got 885/900 :D). I'm getting ready to take the 220-604 now, and it seems a bit harder. The others are more specialized, but not necessarily harder. I'd say to go with 220-602 if you want it easy.

Re: question on compTIA A+

CompTIA updated the A+ to the 2009 exam, they did away with the 4 different exams and are back to only two now. Both required to get certified.

Pay wise, best buy usually starts out around $10 an hour, which you will find normal for repair shops that are more retail. Few bucks more an hour for warranty repair shops. Then private business repair techs (only do repairs for the company) are upwards of $17-25 an hour. Of course this will vary with location, but its about average.
