A good start

Ok, so I'm going to school for Computer Tech, Information and Engineering, and through the schools co-op I work for the State of Tennessee in a professional setting. Even though I've been unofficially offered a job after I graduate, I don't like working in an office, it creeps me out, lol. I want to become a field tech, but don't really know where to begin certificate wise. Which should I look at obtaining, A+? I'm really lost, and with no thanks to my advisor I don't really know how to start going down the right road.
