I'm lost on where to go and what to be...

I'm currently thinking of taking Computer Science at the local Community College but they keep attacking me about how it's very math heavy when you get to calculus and such. I'm not strong with math unless I have a calculator then I can do and enjoy doing math, I've done Algebra 1 and 2 in school and breezed through it but I don't want to the mistake of paying 15k dollars for something I didn't want so I'm asking for clarification.

What my goals are:
Strong Web Developer who keeps up with the latest trends.
Go into Software developing
Being a Technician to be able to repair hardware or any problems with OS

I've been doing HTML and CSS for a long time and now i'm going into PHP, Mysql and Java. I want to be able to get my degree with out wasting time or money but at the same time I want to go to a school that is respected and when my employer sees my school they say "hey this guy knnows what he's doing!"

But here's where it gets complicated I'm also self employed atm and making easy money developing web sites for business and hosting them on a reseller but incase this blows up in my face I want something to fall back on/or work on the side as a part-time getting a decent amount of money a year.

I was thinking of doing all the certificates like A+, MCP and so on and so on but don't know where to start and I don't want to take them if a Bachelor's degree would be better.

So what do you recommended for a person who loves web development, repairing all types of computers may it be desktop or handhelds/printers etc etc and wants to get into software development on the side? I have A LOT of free time on my hands.

If you want to be a web develper, why are you getting a CS degree?

Same goes for a PC tech.

You should get a Bachelor's degree, thats a given.

Repairing computers is a entry level job, its what you do to get into the industry. From there you move to more interesting / profitable things.

I would get a Bachelor's degree in CS first. Then any MCPs you want.

I would look into sharepoint.

Any schools you recommend available in New Jersey? The college I'm going to doesn't end with a bachelor's, but a associates instead and I don't want to go to Rutger's or any high over budget school that isn't known for what I want to get into.

i compleltely agree with bilbus. u shud go for bachelor's. as u r making websites n al..search for some help desk or desktop support kind of work, n side by sdie go for a+ certification. till the time ur bachelor's end,u vil have experience as well as cert, u can try for some better jobs. then u can go for mcp n other advanced cert.
