Tools of the trade

As a new IT Support technician I was hoping that I might get some advice on what kind of tools I might need or want to get. I have small set of screw drivers of all types, including different star and hexagonal shapes so no screw should be able to stop me. I have some small pliers and wirecutters and tweezers as well. I know that there are various types of power supply testers, but don't know what a good one is. Also, what sort of memory test software and hard drive testing software should I get. Finally, I know that it is vital to have copies of the various OS installation disks, in order to do reinstallations and use the repair abilities, but do I have to buy these even though I would only use them to do reinstallations of already registered and activated computers? I appreciate any information from anyone with knowledge.
