Hi,
i bought myself a router (D-Link) and it works great. No problems whatsoever.
But, that it is not really true.
For some reason, i don't get the logfile to my email.
I understand, that you have to tell the router your smtp account and your email address. But where i could enter the password.
All of my accounts requiere identification. But in the router setting there is no option and the faq from D-Link does not answer the issue at all.
Or could i run an own smtp server on my windows system. I am running Windows 2000 (rev4).

Thanks you in advance :)

I tried this option long ago in a D-Link router, never did get it running. When you get it working, let us know how. FWIW, I'm not sure getting the log is all that useful anyway.

Mmm.... but then, did i buy the wrong router perhaps.
I just wish, that for one thing i buy things they work 100%, but i have not a good hand with that.
THe funny thing is, that on the D-Link page you will only find what you have in the manual anyway. Strange.
Is there perhaps a program what could read out the router?

I can't say, I checked the log a few times, and stopped looking at it. I'm not that curious.
