Virus scanning with AVG

Does AVG Anti-virus automatically scan for viruses? Tis just when i installed it and updated i went looking for an option to scan my system but couldnt find one.

Click on test center and click on Scan computer. on the same screen you ll notice a button called scheduler. You can schedule auto scans there.
