At one time I had Zone Alarm on my Windows 2000 Pro PC. I moved on to Norton products for 3 years and now want to go back to Zone Alarm. I've downloaded the setup file to my desktop, but when I try to run it, I get the following: Validation failed for C:\WINNT\System32\VSDATA.DLL
Is this error message caused by an earlier installation of Zone Alarm? Please respond. thanx |

My first guess is that the Norton uninstall was not successful. There is a thread in The General Security Forum about removing Norton products; I would suggest you start there to verify that Norton is gone.
Norton is very complicated, and takes up space, as it were, that ZA needs to install. Let us know your progress. |
