Looking for spyware remover
Hi, I'm looking for a spyware remover that is very effective. I already have Ad-Aware Professional and Spyware Doctor. If you know of any good ones, please post. Thanks. (I don't care how expensive it is)

For a VERY thorough online scan--try the following URL--this is a beta version nearing completion, so be careful of what you delete should it find something, but it found malware and spyware that Spy Sweeper, Spy Bot S&D, AdAware and Panda missed: (which Norton allowed into my computer...grrrrrr)

You could pay me $100/hr to work on it, I'm an excellent spyware remover!

Re: Looking for spyware remover
I heard very good things about Kaspersky online scan, but it doesn't remove what it finds (though it is reported to have the highest detection level). I also use F-Secure, Bit Defender and Housecall (TrendMicro) online scan services. The latter two remove infections, btw. Probably F-Secure does it as well, but I'm not sure right now.
As for antispyware tools, I find Webroot's spysweeper a bit too complicated for novice users. Plus it has less than 190,000 spyware definitions (as of August),while XoftSpy comes bundled with over 269,000 signatures. To my mind this is a big difference. But still Webroot is a good choice. |

Re: Looking for spyware remover
what i use is
ads-gone 2007 = spyware blocker pop up stopper professional = pop up blocker also ads gone has a very good pop up stopper built within but i recomend you have both they wont conflict either ads gone always updates its spyware database on a daily basis and jsut a simple click will let you update your software with the latest threats hope this helps |
