Which Router?

Greetings-
I am going to upgrade from a 4-port US Robotics router to a 8 port router.
I was wondering if anyone has suggestions as to a good brand that will provide excellent security- with the ability to regulate incomming and outgoing traffic.

Thanks

Andy

I would recommend a Linksys Cable/DSL Router with 8-Port Switch.

You do realize that you can put a simple switch on one of the ports of the router and keep your existing router, right?

Johnwill,
Yes- but I wanted a router with more security options (better firewall).
I don't know that much about routers and their firewalls, but I thought I would throw the question out there and compare my routers firewall with whatever was suggested.

In truth, I doubt you'll see much difference in the router's firewall. 90% of any router's "firewall" is simply the NAT layer, and all routers have those.

I hear a lot of good things about ZyWall from ZyXEL. They may be a bit expensive.

ZyWall

One option is to add a switch to the current router and add Zone Alarm on the specific machines attached to the network.
