Applications forcing TCP In?

Hi, upon regular use of my outlook express it has been fine with outbound-based connections. Now after 3 days of use it suddenly decided it would only connect using In-Bound connections?

Why and how does it absolutely NEED it to use inbound? It seems dangerous and unnecessary.

The reason I put this in firewall is because I need to know what ports or what would need to be restricted from use if indeed I was forced to use In-bound majority connections with the email servers.

Just a side note no settings were configured in the space between the differing tcp connection types. How do I force it to use outbound based(majority) connections?
