Symatec Antivirus Corporate Edition not Updating

Hello,

I have a SAV Corporate Edition on my network. Recently it is not updating. The parent server and the clients despite me manually downloading the definition (XDB files). When I clicked open the Ystem Center it indicates that the virus is still not updated.

I went to the configuration of the System center and selected the definition and applied it, but still the problem is persisting.

I need help, it s almost a month now, the problem is with me.

A router is the best firewall that you can get.

But i want to resolve this problem. Uninstalling the software and install a new one is an easy way out. I want to be challenged, I want to find out why and how the problem ocurred. Knowing the reason to this problem and the solution(s), is what I want.

After finding the solution to this problem, i than am satisfioed, and can decide to uninstall and install the other softwares you mentioned.
