Online Stalkers
Hello,
So here's my situation: I have had this feeling for quite some time now that I am being monitored online and unfortunately where I come from I cannot seek any official help. I am in my twenties and pretty grown up and responsible if that helps to establish my authority in the matter. Anyways, I just want to know is there anyway I can know, how this person is able to identify me among the tens and hundreds that visit public chatrooms and moreso, be ready with his conversation tactics when I do. If he has recorded my IP, I dont understand how it is possible for him to track me even when Im browsing from a public computer. I have a router at home too, I dont know how effective that is in blocking my IP address but I use it whenever I connect to the internet. I have a DSL connection at home. I cannot think of any other ways in which he is able to identify me and my activities online no matter which time of the day I log on. This is literally making me crazy. He seems to be in the chatroom 24/7 ( no matter which chatroom you pull out of the search engine, he is there) .I should tell you that this person is dangerous, he has hacked into my gmail account, stole a note that I wrote in an online diary (of whom no one except myself knew and I visted it under a false name). Also, you should know that I erase the browser cache everytime I close the browser so there is no way he could have gotten access through rummaging in my Temporary Internet Files. He also seemed to be controlling my msn messenger settings when I used to be online with his address in my msn list. I believe he has cracked my hotmail account twice and my hi5 account at least once. I just want to get this guy off my back and I was wondering if there were any online security features I could implement to remain clear of this guy forever. I wish I had some sort of proof to present to you but I dont. And I am not crazy, and I can only hope that you believe me. From what it appears he is aware of not only my habits but my moods after observing the trends in my personality over a period of years when I wasn't even aware he was stalking me. All I can hope for right now is that he is not a member or worse an admin of this forum and wreck my plans of ever getting rid of him. I would really like to get this guy off my back, because he is making it difficult for me to have any sort of cyber presence of my own that does not involve him in one way or another. He uses every bit of information that I post on my own blogs, in forums ( no matter where) and tries to use them to get to know my personality. He has shared his reason for doing so with me in a public chatroom but trust me, it does not justify his activities. Is there any way I can share my knowledge and thoughts online securely without having to lock my blogs, tweets, profiles into a private setting where no one is able to see them? Help... |

Re: Online Stalkers
Hard to say. There is nothing we can do, if you can't go to the authorities, I have no ideas about solving this issue.
The only way he could be gaining access to all that stuff is physical access to your computer.

Re: Online Stalkers
If you're on blogs, tweets, chatrooms etc, you're probably using the same username. That's no doubt how this person finds you : you're identifying yourself.
Get your ISP to change your username login and IP at home, also change your router at the same time, and don't use chatrooms and blogs for a while until you can setup new IDs. |
