spyware

A "friend" set up my computer for me and I've found out that they installed Spytech with a keystroke recorder and a screen shot capturing program on my system.
They also made themself administrator and enabled remote access.

I was able to make myself admin of the system, removed their remote access privledges and tried to remove spytech.

I don't know if I have done everything I can to remove all of their control of my system.
Does anyone have a suggestion or suggestions for me?
Is there a certain piece of software I need to install or should I just reinstall my OS?
I'm using XP Pro SP 3.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi Kim, welcome to TSF

Report your friend to the police. If he's installing keyloggers and screen grabbers then he's after your personal details, passwords, bank account numbers, etc. If he's a computer tech and has worked on other people's computers, then he's probably doing the same thing to them.
