Exclamation Hijacker took all of my Banking stuff I am so lost.

Please help me!!!!!

I have done everything in my power to ensure that my pc runs safely as I do everything on my computer. I have run anti virus, spy/malware etc. It seems that I have been hijacked it has taken over, my pictures Administrative tool & even my printer stuff. Everythign is gone & I have noone to help me. My baking, credit card info & passwords have been taken.

I found viruses & malware & have cleaned them up but cannot change anything in my adminstrative tool & their is some very weird activity going on in my doc, registry, and especially my photos. I haven't deleted anything some of my pic that are still there have changed their names to some very strange names for ex: my hockey is now &56293hock%ey and stuff like that and the files are now written in a blue collour instead of black. Cannot access certain files they have become changed to share with me as administrator still but am only allowed to read files no changes & now I have a new user on my computer who I never put there & its going by the name of shannie-home/aspnet. Maybe its legit but I don't know I am so frusterated & am off to the bank now to get my new credit cards, ABM cards etc.

Re: Hijacker took all of my Banking stuff I am so lost.

Hi, welcome to TSF

The new account and system changes could mean your computer has been hijacked and is still infected.

What software did you use to remove the viruses, and did you make a note of their filenames and locations?

Please follow these instructions and start a new thread in the Virus/Trojans/Spyware forum where an analyst will help you as soon as possible.

Re: Hijacker took all of my Banking stuff I am so lost.

Thank you, & yes I recorded everything that I had found & where I found them went right to the place you told me too & sent them all the logs they asked for.

I am completely stressed out over this. I rely so much on the computer for work, the kids stuff, banking etc.

Re: Hijacker took all of my Banking stuff I am so lost.

After you get this problem fixed, you might want to consider buying an external hard drive and using it to make a clone backup copy of your system files and data once a week. So in an emergency like this, you can just wipe your main drive, restore from the clone and be up and running within an hour.

Depending on how busy the Security forum is at the moment, it could take a while before you get a reply, so try and limit your time online with this infected computer. To receive an email as soon as a reply is posted to your other thread, go to Thread Tools > Subscribe.

Remember: Data you don't have at least two copies of is data you don't care about.
