kaspersky security

hi
please can anyone help me with aproblem iam having with my scanner
iam fairly new to computing so i am having difficulty sorting it out
whenever i perform a full scan on kaspersky it always seems to freeze up at the same point[... \ x86-microsoft-windows-font-truetype-nyala-31bf]
if anyone out there who could offer any advice i would be extremely grateful

ps i have tried running a scan in safe mode but with the same result

Try uninstalling then reinstalling the software. If that does not help then run an online scan to see if there is an issue with your pc. http://housecall.trendmicro.com/

If the scan still freezes at the same point with an online scan try using another programme such as avast or avira.

BTW, what version of kaspersky do you own?

thanks for your reply i have tried avanti ,windows defender, and various others
with the same result also tried online scan.Iam running kaspersky internet security 2009

Well to my knowledge (I might be wrong) but it seems to be hanging on a corrupt font file. Nyala is an Ethiopian font I believe built into IE. IF you dont use it then just delete it :)

Or you can reinstall IE and see if that helps. Sorry for the delay in response I was called to some urgent business.
