Just wanted to get your guys opinion on what's a good firewall right now and/or something that can provide live protection? I had the free zonealarm, it did block attempts by others but at times would shut down my internet. It can be either, free or paid, but please state which is which.
Thanks for checking out the post. |

Re: Firewall/Live Protection
Comodo Firewall is a very strong contender, and is one of the best free software firewalls out there.
Recently it has become integrated as part of Comodo Internet Security, however you have the option to install the firewall by itself (standalone) without the antivirus when you run setup. http://personalfirewall.comodo.com/firewall.html |

Re: Firewall/Live Protection
Good choice above. XP firewall is decent in my opinion. Jetico firewall is also good in my opinion. Takes some network experience though.... Free version available. Freeware version 1. http://www.jetico.com/

Re: Firewall/Live Protection
Comodo's definitly the best about at the minute just be carefull that you don't install the antivirus alongside it as it is rubbish.
There are a few others too including outpost firewall which isn't too bad. Zonealarm used to be pretty good but is gradually becoming quite bloaty.
