AVG Install problem:
I have AVG Antivirus free 8.0 and for the last week or so have been unable to update the virus database which says that it is out of date. I looked through the AVG forums and found that this is due to a time discrepancy. (Computer being set to the wrong day/month/year.) I corrected my clock on my computer (Which was exactly two months ahead), but am still not able to update at all.
I tried re-installing the program but this error pops up: " Local machine: installation failed Installation: Error: Action failed for registry key HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows: creating registry key.... Error 0x80070005" Any help is greatly appreciated, Thanks. |
