E-mail from me to myself (on a different domain) seems to be blocked somewhere...

Dear all,

I have a pretty weird issue here.

I am currently managing 2 different domains.
Let's say snoopy.com and snoopy2.com.

Snoopy.com is our internal domain, the email sytem is a MS Exchange with a windows based SMTP server hosted locally here (the SMTP server is in DMZ).

Snoopy2.com is a different domain (not a sub-domain) hosted on a linux based VPS.

Both domains are using the same DNS outsourced to our ISP.

Now, I have e-mail addresses on both domains.

I can send e-mail from atryu@snoppy.com to atryu@snoopy2.com, but I CANNOT send mail from atryu@snoopy2.com to atryu@snoopy.com.

I suspect to be an internal firewall issue.
We are using a Fortigate 310b firewall.

Of course, the SMTP ports are open and I can send/receive emails from outside on both domains.

Did anyone experience this issue before?

Bump...

I fugured that the issue might come from the SMTP server.
(using MS SMTP server in DMZ, windiws 2003 R2 STD).

I still couldn't have cleared the issue...

Anyone has an idea?

Is there a setting screen I need to add my remote mail server's IP address on my SMTP server?

THX...
