i want to play aoe2 but it isn't letting me!

i have windows xp pro sp2 with a firewall
i also have a linksys WRT300N wireless N router which my computer is directly connected to.

i ALSO have a linksys wired router in my attic which my wireless one is connected to.

they all have firewalls. to play age of empires 2 on the internet, you can't have firewalls enabled.

can you tell me how i can play this online? how to turn them off?

Re: i want to play aoe2 but it isn't letting me!

Open the router config for each one in Internet Explorer, then disable the firewall protection and save settings.

Example:

Instead of disabling the firewalls, have you tried port-forwarding? This will allow the game to access the internet without having to lower your protection.

AoE2 uses ports 2300-2400(TCP&UDP) and 47624(TCP).
