Wireless Network un-secure
hey, well, my parents are stupid and never put a PW on the wireless router. They also forgot the admin PW. I am connected threw a wire and my parents are connected wirelessly. Latly my neighbours have been connecting to our router and slowing down out internet. I know of them on because it shows they have Window's Media Player and it is saying that my neighboures media player is found and gives the name of there computer(which is her name). Anywho we lost the admin PW to the router and is there anyway of resetting it? i was also wondering abouit resseting it, can i open it up and pull the battery to reset the PW and add a new one in.

Re: Wireless Network un-secure
Most routers will have a small reset button somewhere on them. This will reset the device to factory settings so you will have to configure your internet and network settings again.

Re: Wireless Network un-secure
Open a command prompt and type IPCONFIG
The address of the Default Gateway is the router's base address. Put that address in the IE address bar and hit Enter, you should get the password prompt from the router.
